My work is a conversation between my past, present, and future. Through making, a method emerges to guide me during instances of contentment, conflict, or longing for what may never be. Metalsmithing has influenced a way to delve into these vulnerabilities and uncertainties. The use of tools and handwork slows the immediacy of emotions to reflect upon decisions I’ve made and ponder new possibilities. A facilitator of strength and transformation leading to the creation of vignettes that serve as intimate witnesses to my life. They are expressions that embrace beauty of the inherent value of emotions and states of awareness.
