Return to Sender / by julie brooks

After returning from Berlin, I arrived home prepped to be active in the studio and invigorated for new creations. My life has been chaos for many years, and the release I achieve in the studio is my church. It’s where I heal. It’s where I feel home.

While I was away, many of my sculptures and jewelry collection pieces were stolen. Alongside this heartache, all of my hand tools and most of my forming equipment were also burglarized.

Needless to say, I am beyond overwhelmed that where my heart lives, has been so carelessly desecrated.

Like all stolen art and bewildered artists, if you see something, say something.

I only sell my work privately and if anyone is approaching a gallery, museum, or any platform with my creations, SHUT IT DOWN.

Nothing would be more welcoming than the individuals who stole these works to return them.

No questions asked.

I just want my work, as it is personal and took years to come to life.

Just let them come home.
